Shilpa Shetty flashes a bright smile in Sukhee new poster, announces the release date

Actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra made a comeback in Bollywood in 2020 with the sequel of the popular film Hungama. She was later seen in Sabbir Khan’s Nikamma that starrer Shirley Setia and Abhimanyu Dassani in pivotal roles. Post that, she surprised her fans by announcing her upcoming projects, one of which includes family drama Sukhee. In March 2022, the actress shared her first look from the film, and now she has revealed the release date.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra reveals the release date of Sukhee

The Hungama 2 actress shared a poster giving a glimpse of her look and announced the release date. In the caption she wrote, “Yeh Kahani hai meri, aapki, hum sabki. Miliye aapki hi jaisi Sukhpreet Kalra yani ki Sukhee se aur aaiye meri duniya mein, 22 September, sirf cinema gharo mein (This story is mine, yours, all of us. Meet your like-minded Sukhpreet Kalra aka Sukhee and come to my world, on 22nd September, only in cinema halls)”.

About Sukhee

Speaking of its plot, “Sukhee narrates the story of Sukhpreet Kalra, a 38-year old Punjabi housewife and her friends, who go to Delhi to attend their school reunion after 20 years. Sukhee relives the 17-year-old version of herself whilst going through a plethora of experiences and emotions, and making the most difficult transition in her life – from being a wife and a mother, to being a woman again,” a press release issued by the makers stated.

The film has been written by Radhika Anand, with the screenplay by Paulomi Dutta. It also stars Kusha Kapila, Dilnaz Irani, Pavleen Gujral, Chaitannya Choudhry and Amit Sadh.

Workwise, apart from the family drama, Shilpa Shetty Kundra will be next seen in Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force as a female cop. The series also stars Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi in pivotal roles. Apart from this, she will feature in Dhruva Sarja‘s upcoming film ‘KD’ aka ‘KingDom’. This will mark her return to Kannada films after a hiatus of 18 years.
