Shraddha Kapoor crying

‘Haseena’, a biopic on Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parker, has Shraddha Kapoor playing the titular role. Shraddha is leaving no stones unturned in her preparations. She was recently out to visit Nagpada, a neighbourhood in South Mumbai where Haseena was born and brought up.

While she soaks in the essence of the character, it is taking due taxes on her. After all, getting into the shows of such a multi-layered, fierce person, is not easy.

It’s been around a week since she has started shooting. In between, one day, Shraddha was unable to hold back her tears on the sets. (Also Read: Shraddha Kapoor to make use of prosthetics and go de-glam for Haseena Parkar)

“Shraddha got so immersed in the scene that she started wailing. Unit hands were wondering what had happened since her tears didn’t stop even when the camera stopped rolling. Apoorva had to halt the shoot for an hour so that she could regain composure,” a unit source told a leading daily.

Shraddha’s brother Siddhanth, who plays Dawood in the film, was also present. He tried comforting his sister and ended up getting his own eyes moist as well.

“When Shraddha and Siddhant broke down, the cast was amazed at how close their relationship is. There was pin-drop silence and we cleared the set to give them personal space,” director Apurva Lakhani said.

The film also stars Sharman Joshi and Ankur Bhatia in pivotal roles.
