Simi Garewal calls Meghan Markle ‘EVIL’ after her viral interview with Oprah Winfrey; withdraws the word later

Since the last few days, Duke and Duchess of Sussex i.e Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive interview with American chat show host Oprah Winfrey has taken the internet by storm. The couple has made several serious allegations against the British monarchy. Now, veteran actress and chat show host Simi Garewal has lashed out at Meghan.

Simi not only accused Meghan of lying and but she also called her ‘evil’. No sooner than Simi shared her opinion on Meghan’s interview, she was bashed by a section of the netizens. Following which the veteran actress backtracked on her choice of words for Meghan. Read on to know what transpired.

After Meghan and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah (for CBS TV) aired, Simi took to her Twitter handle and wrote, “#OprahMeghanHarry I don’t believe a word Meghan says. Not a word. She is lying to make herself a victim. She is using the race card to gain sympathy. Evil.”

Netizens didn’t waste time in slamming Simi for calling Meghan ‘evil’. Reacting to Simi’s tweet, one user wrote, “& What is hard to believe what Meghan said??? & Who are u Simi to decide that anyways??? How dare u call Meghan’s side of the story lies & call her evil!? How absolutely vindictive, insensitive & cruel! Were u there to see it all??? ur judgement towards Meghan is EVIL Shame on u(sic).”

Following the backlash, Simi shared another tweet in which she wrote, “I withdraw the word ‘evil’. It was excessive. Calculating would have been more appropriate…(sic).”

She closed the discussion by tweeting, “Ho humm….. Enough of Oprah/Meghan/Harry!!!. Tomorrow is another day… we have our own lives to navigate…(sic).”

In her interview with Oprah, Meghan opened up about having suicidal thoughts and how she and her child were subjected to racist comments by the royal family. Several Hollywood celebs came out in support of Meghan.
