Even though it is just the teaser of Kangana Ranaut‘s upcoming movie ‘Simran’ that has been released yet, the film is already gaining attention. Unfortunately, for all the wrong reasons. Kangana Ranaut has been given credit as a writer of the film and this has not gone down with the original writer of the film Apurva Asrani. In a long post on Facebook, Asrani has ranted against Kangana Ranaut for taking all the credit ‘Simran’. But well, the producer of the film Shailesh Singh has different thoughts over this matter. He states that Apurva is doing all this for publicity.
Shailesh was quoted saying, “I have worked with Apurva on two of his biggest films — ‘Shahid’ and ‘Aligarh’. Apurva has a legal document in his possession signed by all parties — Kangana, Hansal, the producers and himself wherein he agrees to the credits given by us.”
Further stating, “I have conveyed this to Apurva. We could have chatted in person before he took the issue to social media. He seems to be doing this for publicity. If this is about him versus Kangana, I want to clarify that to please an actress; I’d have paid her more. Why be unfair to him? Once the film hits screens, we will release the script online for the world to judge.”
Let’s see what Mr Asrani has to say about Shailesh Singh’s claims! (Also Read: Apurva Asrani: Was arm twisted to give Kangana Ranaut co-writer credit for ‘Simran’)
