Watch: Sonali Bendre’s first ad post cancer gives a strong message to all mothers
Sonali Bendre is back with a bang with her new ad post cancer. She has appeared in a mosquito killer brand with a strong message for all mothers. This is Sonali’s first appearance after she survived the Big C. While sharing the ad on her Instagram handle, the actress narrated a story of her grandma.
Here are the excerpts of her post, “I once saw my grandmother tie a knot on the tail of her saree’s pallu. As a curious child, I asked her why she did it. She said she couldn’t remember everything all the time, so this knot would keep reminding her what she needs to do. I want you to also do this today.”
She asked every mother to “tie a knot and take a pledge to share their #MujheSabNahiPata #IDidntKnow stories.” Here’s the post.

I once saw my grandmother tie a knot on the tail of her saree’s pallu. As a curious child, I asked her why she did it. She said she couldn’t remember everything all the time, so this knot would keep reminding her what she needs to do. I want you to also do this today. Tie a knot and take a pledge to share your #MujheSabNahiPata #IDidntKnow stories. Your story could help another mother be better prepared. I nominate @ruchitarambles and @chandrama_poetry to tie the protection knot and share their stories #MujheSabNahiPata @allout
Earlier, Sonali endorsed many brands and appeared in various ads. At the India Today Conclave 2019, Sonali said that when she was getting treatment for cancer, she thought that her brand was over.
She said, “I have endorsed every hair product in my career. Looks have been my bread, butter and jam. Looks are important in our society. But, considering that that was the career, it has been scary. The world as I know it turned upside down or was no more there.”
Sonali is a woman of strong will power and determination and today, she is fit and fine all because of her positivity and spirit to fight the deadly disease.
