Sonu Sood mourn covid patient demise

Sonu Sood took to social media to share an emotional note after a 25-year-old Covid patient died. Bharti was a critically ill Covid-19 patient whom the actor got airlifted in an air-ambulance from Nagpur to Hyderabad for special treatment last month. Bharti had lost almost 85-90 per cent of her lungs due to the virus. With Sonu’s help, Bharti had been shifted to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad, where she breathed her last. Mourning her death, Sonu wrote that life is genuinely unfair at times.

Taking to Instagram, Sonu shared a post that read, “Bharti, a young girl from Nagpur whom I airlifted on an air ambulance to Hyderabad passed away last night. Rest In Power My Dear Bharti. You fought the last month like a complete tigress on an Ecmo machine. Even though i never met you, you’ll always hold a very special place in my heart. My condolences to her entire family, I’m going to meet them very soon. life is genuinely unfair at times. ‘will miss you bharti’ (sic).” The actor wrote in the caption, “This world will always miss you (sic).”

Recently, Sonu and his team helped Bengaluru hospital save the lives of 20-22 Covid patients by arranging oxygen cylinders. The Karnataka team of Sonu Sood Charity Foundation had received an SOS call from a police official about the urgent requirement of oxygen cylinders at ARAK hospital. The team managed to arrange 16 oxygen cylinders after raising an emergency alarm with its contacts. The actor has been constantly helping people suffering from Covid-19 by arranging medical care for them.

Sonu had contracted the virus last month on April 17 and tested negative for it on April 23. People have been lauding Sonu for his philanthropic work, helping people amid the Covid-19 pandemic, since last year. Meanwhile, Sonu recently announced his new film titled Kisaan, to be directed by E Niwas. It will be backed by filmmaker Raaj Shaandilyaa. Sonu will also feature in an upcoming Telugu movie Acharya. He will also be seen in Prithviraj, slated for November 5 release this year.
