Confirmed: Sushant Singh Rajput not a part of ‘Mogul’
Ever since a biopic on music baron Gulshan Kumar titled ‘Mogul’ has been announced it has been in the news. Earlier Akshay Kumar was roped in to play the titular role, however, the actor later walked out of the project due to creative differences with the makers. Since then the makers are looking out for a replacement.
As per recent reports, Ranbir Kapoor was offered the role but as the makers plan to shoot the movie in December this year to release it by Christmas 2019, Ranbir could not be a part of the movie as he is already onboard for ‘Shamshera’ and Luv Ranjan’s next film.
It was later rumoured that Sushant Singh Rajput was approached for the role. But it has now been confirmed by his spokesperson that Sushant will not be a part of the film.
The official spokesperson of Innsaei which is Sushant’s business venture, said, “This has reference to the speculation stating that Sushant Singh Rajput is working in ‘Mogul’. These are completely baseless rumours. Sushant Singh Rajput is not associated with the film and we deny his involvement in the project.”
‘Mogul’ is being co-produced by Aamir Khan and Bhushan Kumar. It is being directed by Subhash Kapoor and is scheduled to release on Christmas 2019.
