Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide has raised several questions regarding why the actor chose to end his life abruptly. Mumbai police is investigating the actor’s death.

As per the latest reports, Bandra police interrogated two former senior officials of Yash Raj Films and a Bollywood producer in connection with the actor’s suicide. YRF’s casting director Shanoo Sharma was also questioned by the police on Saturday.

As per a Mumbai Mirror report, on Friday, Bandra police questioned two former senior officials of Yash Raj Films (YRF), Ashish Patil and Ashish Singh, over the contract the late actor had signed with the production house. As per the report, the questioning largely revolved around the terms of references in the agreement to join and exit the firm by the actor. Police obtained a copy of the agreement paper signed in 2012, however, they are yet to obtain papers related to the exit of the contract by the actor in 2015.

Sushant’s close friend and producer Sandip Ssingh’s statement has also been recorded in order to understand what was going on in Sushant’s personal life.

Earlier today, YRF’s casting director Shanoo Sharma was also interrogated by the Mumbai police.

So far around 25 people have been questioned in connection with the actor’s suicide case. Those questioned include Rhea Chakraborty, Sushant’s father and sisters, his close friends, domestic help and other staff, filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra among several others.

Post-mortem reports confirmed that the actor died due to asphyxia due to hanging. There were no signs of struggles and nothing was found from Sushant’s nails. Police will also be probing ‘professional rivalry’ angle in the ‘Kedarnath’ actor’s decision to take such a drastic step.
