Taapsee Pannu is one of the very few actresses who happens to talk her heart out during interviews. During a recent interaction with Times Of India, she was asked about the criticism she has been getting for her not-so-good old age look in ‘Saand Ki Aankh’. She just snapped out and blasted the trolls for questioning her.

Ever since the posters of the movie released, people have been talking about how shoddy the make-up work has been of the two actresses in the film’s poster. Trolls have been having a field day talking about the bad make up job of Taapsee Pannu and her co-star Bhumi Pednekar. Taapsee Pannu was asked about the same in her interview and she just blasted the trolls left, right and center.

I was pretty surprised and laughed at it thinking, no one questioned me when I played a college girl at 30. Nobody questions when these big actors portray college characters being triple the age. At that time, nothing happens. It’s so strange that two actresses, at the prime of their careers, decided to look more than double their age, where today an actress always wants to look younger and younger. We decided to look double the age. Instead of appreciating it, people are finding issues with it,” said Taapsee Pannu while speaking to TOI.

When prodded further about older actors being approached first for the casting in the movie, Taapsee Pannu said that it’s true and she later found out about that from the producers of the film. However, even they felt that the film was “too off beat” and therefore decided to not sign the film.

It might not be mainstream enough for them to do, so they didn’t do it. For me, it was a kickass story and I wanted to do it. I really want to see the same people questioning me when I am going to portray a college girl soon. I’m far away from college now. Then let’s see the trolling,” Taapsee Pannu concluded while speaking to TOI.
