‘Thalaivi’ first look: Kangana Ranaut looks totally unrecognizable in the role of Jayalalithaa

Kangana Ranaut who was last seen sharing the screen space with Rajkummar Rao in ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’, has been making quite a buzz on her upcoming projects. The talented actress will be next seen as former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, in her biopic titled, ‘Thalaivi’. The makers of the film have shared the first look poster of Kangana as Thalaivi.

We must say that the Queen of Bollywood looks absolutely unrecognizable in the first look poster of her upcoming film. Film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle and shared the poster. The film is being helmed by Vijay and co-produced by Vishnu Induri and Shaailesh R Singh. It is slated to release on June 26, 2020.

Recently, Kangana Ranaut was caught speaking about her film in her recent media interaction. She said, “I was working on my own biopic, but her (Jayalalithaa) story is very similar to my story. In fact, it is a bigger success story than mine. When I heard the narration of this film, I found many similarities between both the stories. So when I had the option to do a film based on her story or my story, I decided on the former.”
