For filmmakers, their films are not just a project for them. It’s their child and they are quite possessive and passionate about it. ‘Thappad’ director Anubhav Sinha recently lost his cool at trade portals. He lashed out at these portals saying they receive the collections of his film before him.

Apparently it was a tweet from a publication which read- “Audience Gives TIGHT SLAP To #Thappad,” and that made the ‘Thappad’ director use colourful language on his Twitter handle.

Anubhav, lashing out these trade experts, wrote, “इन हरामज़ादों ने फ़िल्मों का कोठा बना दिया है। last I checked it was an art form. My money. My movie. My profit. My loss. Who the fuck are you? Have I issued any public shares? Have you bought any??? Go watch the film. Like it. Hate it. Your call.(sic)”

“These motherfuckers seem to get my collections before me. Just for general awareness, I get my collections in 2-3 days. Before that whatever they put out is sheer speculation and their sweet desire(sic)” he further added.

When pointed out what’s the need for using such a language by a fan, Sinha apologised by posting, “My apologies for my language ladies. Sincerely. It is the love of those 150 people who made Thappad for the film that was being disrespected that shot me off. Apologies to all women and elders and younger ones on my timeline. SORRY!!!(sic)”

‘Thappad’ starring Taapsee Pannu in lead opened to rave reviews from the critics.

The film despite being a social drama has managed to earn a decent amount at the box-office.
