Vikram Bhatt

It was earlier reported by The Hollywood Reporter that several crew members on filmmaker Vikram Bhatt’s projects, including the 2023 horror film 1920: Horrors Of The Heart and the upcoming action movie Khilone, have not been paid their outstanding dues. Crew members such as Khilone’s makeup artist claimed unprofessional conduct and non-payment of fees for work completed on both films.

Vikram Bhatt’s Khilone Fees Yet Unpaid To Lead Actress Anupria Goenka

Now, according to Bollywood Hungama, Khilone’s lead actress Anupria Goenka, known for her roles in films and series including Tiger Zinda Hai, Padmaavat, War, Criminal Justice and Asur, has also not received her full payment for the action film backed by Vikram Bhatt.

A source who worked on Khilone told Bollywood Hungama, “Not just crew members, but even the leading actors of the film were not paid. In short, everyone associated with the film has suffered.” The source added that while Anupria Goenka was paid for a certain number of days, she is yet to receive remuneration for approximately 15 days from the film’s final shooting schedule.

Even her then-management confirmed that she has not been fully paid, despite repeated reminders and follow-up. Khilone’s other lead, Jisshu Sengupta, were also approached regarding the clarifictaion of the same query, but the actor did not respond.

Vikram Bhatt’s Khilone

According to the reports, Khilone’s production was plagued by scheduling issues, initially planned as a 30-day shoot, the schedule reportedly stretched to 45 days over five months due to mismanagement, which disrupted commitments and contributed to delays in clearing payments.

This development follows Vikram Bhatt’s recent legal troubles. The filmmaker and his wife, Shwetambari Bhatt, were arrested in December 2025 by Rajasthan Police and later spent over two months in Udaipur jail in connection with an alleged Rs 30 crore fraud case, before being granted bail by the Supreme Court of India in February 2026. The case, filed by doctor Ajay Murdia, alleges misappropriation of funds promised for film production, though Bhatt has maintained his faith in the legal process.
