Aishwarya Rai

It is not for nothing that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is called one of the most beautiful women ever was. The lady epitomises grace and beauty, and possesses oodles of talent. She has carved a successful journey not just in Bollywood but the world over. So it’s quite a rare phenomena for an actress of her stature to hold so much of patience and love for her fans.

So as Aishwarya was at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) to hoist the Indian National Flag representing our country, it was indeed a moment of pride as she is the first Indian to get this huge honour. And after the ceremony, as the actress made way towards her car, she met a little girl and Aish literally sat down to play with the little one for a few minutes. It clearly proved her love for children and things didn’t end there as she then interacted with two female fans as well, as they got pictures clicked with their idol. It was such a pretty sight to see. (Also Read:PICS: Aishwarya Rai and Aaradhya hoist the Indian National Flag in Melbourne)

The actress who has been a popular face in Hollywood too, never really considered giving up Bollywood entirely for a career in the West. She spoke about the same there with a leading news channel. Said Aishwarya, “I was very clear about that. Also because I enjoy Indian cinema I have had such wonderful directors to work with – I couldn’t get myself to do that. That’s because it is just a different rhythm – I know I can imagine some of our talent working there and experiencing it – it is exciting. It is wonderful to be part of cinema irrespective of which language or part of the world it is getting made in. It is just a different rhythm with which we worked in India and overseas… At that time social media was still beginning. Today, world is socially smaller, you feel more connected and the pace of life is getting faster than not to so long ago. I guess each one will find their own rhythm and what suits everybody. I also had so many yes and no in my list of dos and don’ts. So it narrowed down my choices and that’s just the way I felt I would be comfortable.”
