Wow! Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma team up for ‘Sui Dhaaga – Made In India’

All the fans of Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma out there, gear up for there is a news that will make your day. Both these talented performers are all set to collaborate for the first time with a project titled ‘Sui Dhaaga – Made in India’. The film is written and will be directed by Sharat Katariya with Maneesh Sharma producing it under the banner of Yash Raj Films. This is the same team who had earlier delivered ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ which starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles.

Talking about this new project, Varun Dhawan has said, “From Gandhiji (Mahatma Gandhi) to Modiji (Narendra Modi), our country’s leaders have always endorsed the Mantra of Made in India. With ‘Sui Dhaaga’, I’m proud to take their message to millions of movie lovers in a manner that is entertaining and relevant. I really liked the script Sharat had written and I am happy that I am teaming up with YRF on this movie. Anushka Sharma too is excited to work on a unique story that has a human interest angle. She said, “I always get excited with unique ideas that have human interest stories. ‘Sui Dhaaga’ is a story of self-reliance that I believe will connect to the grassroots level with every Indian. And am really looking forward to work with Varun Dhawan and the team of Maneesh Sharma and Sharat Katariya.” [sic]

The official Twitter handle of Yash Raj Films has also announced this new project. They have written, “#NewFilmAnnouncement – @Varun_dvn & @AnushkaSharma the duo come together in #SuiDhaaga – Made in India. @SuiDhaagaFilm.” [sic]

As mentioned in this announcement, ‘Sui Dhaaga – Made in India’ is touted to go on floors in the month of January next year, and is scheduled to release on Gandhi Jayanti 2018.
