Drishyam 2 Box Office: Ajay Devgn starrer records fantastic collections in second week

The movie Drishyam 2, starring Ajay Devgn, Akshaye Khanna and Tabu had a fantastic second week at the box office, with collections of over 159 crore. Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film was released in theatres on December 18. And, since its release, Drishyam 2 has maintained a strong hold with the collections, at the box office. Despite other releases like Bhediya, the Ajay Devgn starrer is proving to be a pure winner.

The sequel of the 2015 film Drishyam saw a fantastic second week with collections of 57.50 crore net. The Abhishek Pathak directorial beats Brahmastra with 50 crore nett and 49 crore nett Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, second week collections for original Hindi content movie in the post pandemic era. In total, the Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Akshaye Khanna starrer has made 160 crore nett in the two weeks of its release.

In terms of collections, the Abhishek Pathak directorial opened at approximately 15 crore nett. Since then, the movie has had a successful run at the box office, with the collections either seeing a phenomenal growth, or a good hold. For the first week itself, Drishyam 2 made a collection of over 50 crore, which was phenomenal.

A Box Office India report said that the second week collections of Drishyam 2 are also the second highest ever for Ajay Devgn post the collections of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.

Meanwhile, Drishyam 2 also features Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav. The film is a sequel of the 2015 Nishikant Kamat directorial that received a phenomenal response.
