Fukrey Returns: Richa Chadha-starrer does excellent in its first weekend

‘Fukrey Returns’ which is a sequel to 2013 release ‘Fukrey’ was expected to do well at the box office thanks to the franchise factor. However, the film has done an exceptional business in three days itself.

The Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat and Richa Chadha-starrer started on a good note on Friday and collected Rs 8 crore. It was expected that the film will show a growth, and it indeed grew, but beyond our expectations, and probably the makers’ and crew’s too. Frankly, it blew us away. The film went on to do a fantastic business of Rs 11 crore on its second day and then on Sunday, once again the movie showed a jump and collected Rs 12.65 crore.

The first weekend collection of the film is Rs 31.65 crore which is excellent for a medium budget movie like ‘Fukrey Returns’.
