Started in 2007, the Dhamaal franchise is one of the most-loved and longest-running comedy franchises in Bollywood. The franchise’s fourth instalment released on Friday, July 10 and has managed to impress fans. As per reports pouring in, the and the Indra Kumar-directorial – starring Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and Javed Jaffrey and others, had a strong opening weekend. Infact, the box office report shows that this instalment has emerged as the franchise’s biggest opening weekend earner.

As reported by trade website Sacnilk, Dhamaal 4 earned a net income of Rs 28.50 crore across 11,481 shows on Sunday. Combined with an opening day collection of Rs 14 crore and a Day 2 income of Rs 22.50 crore the film’s current domestic net total amounts to an impressive Rs 65 crore. As per the report, the film’s India gross collections currently stands at Rs 78.00 crore.

Talking about its worldwide performance, the film collected Rs 4.00 crore overseas on Day 3, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 13 crore so far. Combining the film’s domestic and oversea gross income, Dhamaal 4’s worldwide gross collection stands at Rs 91 crore.

As per the report and a glimpse at how well the previous films in the franchise performed, the Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and Javed Jaffrey-starrer has officially become the biggest opener in the history of this series.

The credit list includes names such as Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaaferi, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Upendra Limaye, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Shaikh and Esha Gupta.
