EXCLUSIVE: Lekha Prajapati Opens Up About Shooting Fukrey 3 With Pankaj Tripathi, Pulkit Samrat And Co: Admits Viral Airplane Scene, “Changed Things For Me, Gave Me Real Recognition”

Lekha Prajapati has always made her presence known in every role she plays. The actress is slowly making a name for herself in the business because she is so dedicated to her work. Her appearance in Fukrey 3 was a turning point in her career. It gave her fame and earned her respect from people in the business.

Lekha Prajapati On Filming Fukrey 3’s Airplane Scene

Talking about her experience on sets, Lekha described it as nothing short of memorable. She shared, “My experience working on the sets of Fukrey 3 was crazy. We shot for a couple of days. Because the scene is inside an aeroplane, they had built that aeroplane; it was a set. It was actually looking like an aeroplane.”

She also recalled shooting during the challenging phase of COVID-19, adding that strict precautions were followed. She said, “We were all wearing masks and only removing them during takes.”

A major highlight for her was working with Pankaj Tripathi. She recalled, “He is amazing. Most of my scenes were with him. If you give him the right energy, he gives it back 10 times. He is a pleasure to work with.” She also expressed her desire to collaborate with him again.

She also admitted that she had a great time working with the ‘Fukra gang’ — Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, and Manjot Singh. Recalling a moment from the shoot, she said, “I was getting stuck on one word, ‘blue ice’, and Pulkit told me, ‘Chill, relax, Lekha. We’ll do a couple of takes, you’ll get it.’ That really helped.”

Lekha: Fukrey 3 Has Contributed A Lot To My Journey

Despite being part of a major franchise, Lekha admitted she had no idea her scene would receive such a strong response. When asked about the impact of the film on her career, Lekha didn’t hesitate to credit it for giving her recognition. “Fukrey 3 has contributed a lot to my journey. It’s a huge franchise with a loyal audience,” she said. She recalled a special moment, sharing, “I was at the airport and someone came up to me and said they saw me in Fukrey 3. That felt really nice.”

The actress also revealed that she received appreciation from filmmakers and creative professionals after the film. “A lot of people called me and said they loved my work. As actors, we live for that one praise, that one clap, that one smile we bring to the audience’s face,” she expressed.

With the recognition she gained from Fukrey 3, Lekha Prajapati is now looking ahead to more opportunities that allow her to explore different characters and continue her steady rise in the industry.
