Roohi Box-Office Collection Day 5: Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor & Varun Sharma starrer earns THIS much on its first Monday

Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma starrer Roohi had been in pipeline for quite some time. The film finally released in theatres on March 11 and looks like the movie has had a steady collection at the box office so far. Though the audience and critics have had divided opinions about Roohi however its numbers are not that bad for a movie that has released just after the lockdown restrictions were uplifted.

Roohi made Rs. 3.06 crores on the first day and the next day, it managed to collect Rs 2.25 crores. Meanwhile, on the weekend, the movie earned Rs. 3.42 and on Sunday the movie collected Rs 3.85 crores. Now on its first Monday, Roohi raked in Rs 1.35 crore at the box office.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle and giving details about Roohi’s box office collection he wrote, “#Roohi shows satisfactory hold on the crucial Mon… The numbers are much, much better vis-à-vis the new releases [#Hindi] during #Covid times… Thu 3.06 cr [#MahaShivratri], Fri 2.25 cr, Sat 3.42 cr, Sun 3.85 cr, Mon 1.35 cr. Total: ₹ 13.93 cr. #India biz.(sic).”

Helmed by Hardik Mehta Roohi is the second movie in producer Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe after Stree. The third one will be Bhediya that will star Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. Bhediya will hit the theatres on April 14, 2022.
