Sooryavanshi was one of the first mega movies of 2021 that released after the re-opening of theatres. Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic but director Rohit Shetty didn’t take the OTT route and released the cop drama in big screens on November 5. Despite having 50 per cent occupancy in multiple places, the film minted moolah at the box-office. It earned Rs 26.29 crore on Day 1 of its release. Sooryavanshi also starred Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn from Simmba and Singham in extended cameos.

Trade analyst Sumit Kadel has revealed Sooryavanshi’s box office collection in India and overseas. It has become the highest grossing Indian movie of 2021. The film has made a gross income of Rs 234 core in India alone, while in overseas it has collected in Rs 62.20 crore. So, the gross worldwide collection of Sooryavanshi stands at Rs 292.20 crore.
