RIP Saroj Khan: Did you know? The ace choreographer had also worked in a Hollywood film
Bollywood’s one of the most celebrated choreographers Saroj Khan bid adieu to the world in the wee hours of Friday(July 3). The ace choreographer’s death came as another blow on the film industry after the recent deaths of Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput.
In a career spanning four decades, Saroj Khan had choreographed more than 2000 songs. She had bagged National Award not once but thrice in her career. And not only that, she had also worked in an International film ‘The Gandhi Murder’ that released in 2019. Read on to know the details.
Saroj Khan had choreographed for an International film titled ‘The Gandhi Murder’. The film featured Hollywood stars like Stephen Lang. Even Indian actor Om Puri was a part of it. The movie released in 2019 on Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary.
Speaking about being a part of the International film, back in 2016, Saroj had told IANS, “I’m currently working on a Hollywood film, I have to reserve myself only for them. They haven’t named the film yet. It’s the story of three men who knew Gandhi is going to get killed but they didn’t help and didn’t stop that. I’m doing the choreography for that.”
The veteran choreographer was not keeping well since the last few weeks. She was admitted to the hospital last month after she complained of breathlessness. Saroj died today after suffering a cardiac arrest. She is survived by her husband and three children.
