Emraan Hashmi has registered his biggest theatrical milestone with his recently released action thriller Awarapan 2. Directed by Nitin Kakkar, the film has been working working wonders at the box office a and managed to cross the Rs 200 crore mark worldwide. As per the latest Sacnilk report, the Emraan Hashmi-led sequel earned Rs 3.75 crore at the domestic box office on Day 12, taking its net India total to an impressive Rs 142.75 crore.

Talking about its worldwide collection, the action thriller has emerged as a major box office success, amassing over Rs 200 crore. In fact, this has resulted in the film becoming the actor’s first ever film to enter the coveted Rs 200 crore club worldwide as a solo lead. Talking about the breakdown, the movie reportedly grossed around Rs 170 crores in India and an estimated Rs 31.25 crores overseas. This takes the film’s worldwide gross total to around Rs 201 crores after its second Tuesday (12 days)
For Emraan – who has been active in the industry since 2003, this is a particularly significant achievement. While he has delivered several successful films over the years, none of those titles managed to gross Rs 200 crore at the global box office.
