‘Baaghi 3’ Box-Office Report: Tiger Shroff & Shraddha Kapoor starrer becomes the biggest opener of 2020

Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Baaghi 3’ hit the silver screens yesterday. Though the film failed to garner positive reviews from the critics, however, looks like Tiger’s fans loved the film. Despite Coronavirus scare, action-thriller ‘Baaghi 3’ has managed to open on a great note at the box-office. The film has minted around Rs. 17.50 crores on its opening day. Thereby becoming the biggest opener of this year so far.

‘Baaghi 3’ is the spiritual sequel in Sajid Nadiadwala’s hit franchise ‘Baaghi’.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the opening day collection of this Ahmed Khan directorial. Taking to his Twitter handle he wrote, “#CoronaVirus scare #Pre–#Holi dull phase #Examination period Yet, #Baaghi3 takes a big start on Day 1… Emerges biggest opener of 2020 [so far]… Fifth film of #TigerShroff to open in double digits… Single screens excel, plexes decent… Fri ₹ 17.50 cr. #India biz.”

In this action-thriller, Tiger is doing what he is best known for- Stunts. Critics have panned the film for the lack of logic, however, Tiger’s death-defying stunts have been praised by everyone. Shraddha Kapoor’s colourful language was censored in the film. And reportedly a few close-up shots of  Disha Patani were chopped out.

‘Baaghi 3’ also stars Ritiesh Deshmukh, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, Vijay Varma and Ankita Lokhande. Disha appears in a special dance number.
