Hansika Motwanni Reveals Therapy Helped Her Heal Post Divorce With Sohael Khaturiya
In a recent conversation, Hansika Motwanni spoke about the unwavering support she received from her family during this time. Talking about her brother, she shared, “My brother and I are very close. He supported me throughout; he was rock solid. Both my mother and brother told me, ‘If you are not comfortable, don’t go through it.’ They have seen me in a very dark space. I am usually a very happy person, so for them to see me like that was alarming. They told me, whatever you decide, we are with you.”
She then reflected on how therapy played a crucial role in helping her rebuild herself emotionally. “I was in a very dark space and didn’t understand mental health. A friend picked me up during my dark phase and said let’s try therapy. After that, it’s been two years and it has helped me, guided me, showed me how to be a better person. Taught me how to handle situations that I didn’t know how to.” She added that therapy also helped her manage anxiety and navigate difficult emotions more effectively.
At the same time, Hansika made it clear that she does not wish to revisit the specifics of her marriage or separation. She said that no one truly knows what happened between her and her former partner, and she prefers to leave it that way. According to her, she carries no regrets and believes the decision to move on was necessary for her well-being.
On the professional front, Hansika continues to stay active. She was last seen in the Tamil film Guardian (2024) and also appeared as a judge on the Telugu reality show Dhee Celebrity Special 2. Looking ahead, she will feature in the upcoming Prime Video series Gully, directed by Praveen Sattaru, alongside Sudheer Babu, JD Chakravarthy, and Shraddha Srinath.
