I wish he was here: When Ranbir Kapoor bared his heart out on missing late father Rishi Kapoor

Rishi Kapoor was one of the most loved actors in the industry. Today, Rishi Kapoor’s fans are celebrating his 71^st birth anniversary. Kareena Kapoor Khan, daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni shared emotional posts as they remembered the late actor. On Rishi ji’s birth anniversary, we take a look back at the time when son Ranbir Kapoor poured his heart out on missing late father Rishi Kapoor.

Ranbir remembers late father Rishi Kapoor

In an earlier interview with Bollywood Bubble, Ranbir had said that he misses the presence of his father in life. “I wish he was here,” said Ranbir.

The actor added, “I miss everything. I wish he was around, to just be around to talk to him.”

At that time, Ranbir was promoting his film Shamshera, which released on 22^nd July last year. He said, “I think he would be really excited, would be really proud, be really encouraging towards me that ive done a film of this nature (Shamshera). He always told me throughout my career that you should do films that appeal to a larer audience. You should work more, these are the things that keep ringing in my ear that my father’s voice. But I hope he’s up there somewhere looking down and blessing me.”

Ranbir shared a good bond with his late father Rishi Kapoor.

The actor passed away due to leukemia on 30^th April, 2020. He was 67. Ranbir, Neetu Kapoor and the entire family was by his side till the very end. It’s been three years and his fans keep remembering him.

Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming movies

Ranbir will be seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. The actor will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar in the upcoming film. In June this year, the makers of Animal gave a glimpse of Ranbir’s character and left fans excited for the film. Well, Animal also stars Rashmika Mandanna and is slated to release on 1^st December, 2023.
