EXCLUSIVE: Ajinkya Deo REACTS To Ramayana Facing Similar Trolls As Prabhas-Led Adipurush; Says, “Aap Jitni Gaaliyan Deni Hai De But….”

Ajinkya Deo has opened up on the immense expectations surrounding Ramayana, especially after the backlash faced by Adipurush. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, the actor dismissed concerns about trolling, stressing that the ambitious project is backed by filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, producer Namit Malhotra and a team determined to present their vision with precision. Deo believes that criticism is inevitable because every viewer approaches a film from a different perspective. However, he urged audiences to watch Ramayana before passing judgment. Ajinkya Deo REACTS To Ramayana, Adipurush Trolling

When asked about the pressure of making mythological films, especially after the trolling of Adipurush and now certain moments in Ramayana, Anjinkya Deo said, “I mean, I wouldn’t say that any of us carried that, because I think, you know what, again, it boils down to the fact ki Namit Malhotra, who at the time was an Oscar winner, all these things together, Nitesh Tiwari, the director, the producer, everybody has a dream to convey, and they have been so focused and diligently working on giving you the best Ramayana ever possible.”

The actor continued, “Toh iske baad main toh ek actor hoon. Mujhe mera kaam karke nikal jaana hai. So I do not want to dwell into that. See, naysayers toh sab jagah milte hain. You will find people saying and making statements about everything. Toh kya karein? Unse hum itna hi kehte hain ki, ‘Chalo, achha hai. Hum aapse seekh rahe hain.’ Aap jitni gaaliyan deni hain, dijiye, but ek baar product dekho, uske baad decide karo.”

Ajinkya: You Can’t Control Everybody

Deo added, “But you can’t control everybody, right? Hum kisi ek aadmi ko… Abhi jo painting saamne lagi hui hai, woh mujhe toh achhi nahi lagti. Mere bhai ne lagayi hai. I hate it. Now he loves it. Toh iska matlab yeh toh nahi hua ki woh buri hai ya achhi nahi hai. I don’t like it from my perspective, but he loves it. So it’s his perspective. So, it’s the same with a film. When it comes out, it’s each person’s perspective. You can never ever say that, ‘Like, acting… there can’t be a complete actor.’ There is no complete actor. Jab tak aap… You know, it’s a beautiful thing that Osho said, ki when you are… You try to be an actor; the moment your ego sets in, aap jab tak yeh soch rahe ho ki ‘Main koshish kar raha hoon acting karne ki,’ that is spirituality.”

Concluding the actor shared, “So when you say that a film is complete, it’s never a complete film. It cannot be. Kyunki itni hamari population hai, poore world over mein, kisi na kisi ko kahin na kahin kuch na kuch nuks toh milna hi hai, aur woh toh nikaalenge. Now how do you tower over it? But I personally feel that in this Ramayana, kisi ko ungli rakhne ka koi mauka nahi milega, because it is very… It’s fact with precise knowledge. It’s fact with precise research. It’s fact with everything that people would expect this to be. And I’m sure of it. So baaki toh, khair, each one is open to their opinion.”

About Ramayana

Backed by Malhotra and directed by Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ stars Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. The film also features a large ensemble cast with music by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. The epic is planned as a two-part theatrical release, with the first instalment scheduled for November 6, 2026, in international markets and November 8 in India, coinciding with Diwali.
