Amol Parashar, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor REACT To Gram Chikitsalay, Panchayat Comparisons
When said that Gram Chikitsalay is from the Panchayat franchise, Amol Parashar clarified, “Ab ho gaye.”
Speaking about the show’s comparisons with Panchayat, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor said, “I think comparison toh thi, because the words were similar, the writing was similar. It was the same brainchild — dono series ek hi person ka brainchild hain. Toh comparison toh tha, but woh negative nahi tha. It was in the sense ki, jaise hum log pehle season ke interviews mein kehte the, ‘We are proud to be compared to Panchayat.’ That means we are of that level, you know. People are thinking of Panchayat when they see us, matlab hum kuch achha hi kar rahe hain. So I don’t think it was a problem. It’s nice to be compared to a giant sometimes.”
Dinesh Lal Yadav said, “Maine Panchayat dekhi hai. Aur maine bhi bola tha, ‘Inko nazar nahi lagti hai, rehne do.’ Yeh khud hi dekh lo, kaise ban raha hai!”
