EXCLUSIVE: Babil Khan remembers late father Irrfan Khan at IIFA 2023: I miss him every single day of my life

Actor Babil Khan graced the IIFA Awards 2023 with utmost panache. The actor wore a bedazzled jacket on the green carpet and he looked quite good. But before he headed inside the venue, he stopped for a quick chat on the green carpet. Babil Khan remembered his late father Irrfan Khan and it was too emotional.

When asked if he misses Irrfan Khan whenever he bags an award, Babil Khan said, “It’s not about the award, I miss him every single day of my life. You know while growing up, I didn’t have a lot of friends, he was my singular friend. I think laughing with him would be a memory I would miss.”

Earlier, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, The Qala actor said his father Irrfan Khan was his best friend. He told us, “I just lost my best friend. My only friend, whom I laughed with and I joked around with and I was completely truthful myself with him. It was just devastating on a level that I can’t really put into words. But because of our friendship and the bond we had and the evolution that we went through together the memory. And the Nostalgia of that keeps me positive. It gives me the courage just to keep going and also when somebody so close to you dies you realise that all of this is temporary. You are going to die one day and because we make it such a permanent issue living life. And then suddenly you realise that it will get over in a jiffy. You just gave me the courage to just do what I want that’s why I just stepped into acting.”
