EXCLUSIVE: Nia Sharma Almost REJECTED Splitsvilla X6 Because Of Uorfi Javed? Actress Admits, “We All Tend To Judge People”

Nia Sharma, currently serving as one of the presenter-hosts of Splitsvilla X6 and known for her bold fashion statements and fearless persona, is someone who is known for speaking her mind. She’s done so once more by revealing she nearly said ‘no’ to being part of the MTV reality show because of co-host Uorfi Javed.

In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Buble, Nia opened up about why she nearly declined Splitsvilla X6 and how her bond with Uorfi is currently. Scroll down to read what she said.

Nia Sharma On Almost Turning Down Splitsvilla Because Of Uorfi Javed

Speaking about her first impression of Uorfi Javed, Nia Sharma said, “Mere saath toh obviously hua. I was the one who almost said no to doing the show with her. I had my apprehensions. I did not like someone’s media persona, not her specifically. We all have preconceived notions. We all tend to judge people.”

Talking about her bond with Uorfi now and how it changed once she met her for the first time, Nia continued, “But of course, when I decided to be on the show and when I met her for the first time, she was professional enough.” Nia further added, “It was really nice. She guided me a lot. I used to laugh like a kid seeing everyone’s bonding, everyone’s fake connections, their fights, and she would stand like a ‘Mischief Maker’.”

The ‘Jamai Raja’ actress added, “And then mujhe andar se bhi aata tha ki ‘Nia, you’re the host. Just calm down, laughing on the show.’ So she’s like an elder sister to me who guided me through and through, and I just appreciate her for that. So, despite your inhibitions, despite your pre-conceived notions at the time about the other person, you should always give it a shot about knowing them. And things change completely.”

MTV Splitsvilla is an Indian television dating reality show that airs on MTV India and is digitally available on JioHotstar. The show revolves around young men and women trying to secure a place in Splitsvilla, a villa where they are detached from the real world. Participants compete in tasks to remain in the competition and mingle with their fellow contestants to find love. The sixteenth season – styled X6, is presented by Sunny Leone, Karan Kundrra, Uorfi Javed, and Nia Sharma.
