When asked about how she and Anil Kapoor developed the emotional authenticity required for the powerful father–daughter dynamic in Subedaar, Radhikka highlighted the respect and encouragement that defined their off-screen equation.

She explained how the atmosphere on set helped both actors bring sincerity to their scenes. Saying, “Anil sir was always so gracious off the set as well, so encouraging, so inspiring off the set. There was this respect that was there between both of us. We just thrived on that. And he and I, we both wanted to give our all to every scene in the film. It’s a very special film to the both of us. And on-screen, it was just beautiful and a very pleasant learning experience for me, personally.”

Radhikka Madan On Bond With Irrfan Khan In Angrezi Medium

The actress also spoke about how her approach to relationships on screen changes depending on the character she plays. Comparing her experience in Subedaar with her earlier film Angrezi Medium, where she shared heartfelt moments with late Irrfan Khan.

Radhikka explained that she prefers to treat every role as a fresh creative journey. Saying, “I think I see characters as characters. Tarika was a different character. Shayama was a different character. The approach towards every character has been really different. Forget about these two. Every character that I’ve played, the process of it has been always very different.”

The actress added, “I really believe in emptying my bucket before I start any new project. I want to be fully empty. I want to forget about all of my processes, and I just want to take things in and fill my bucket in with the director’s vision, with what the environment is giving me so that I can offer something new, and I can build a different approach. And that is what I did with both of these characters.”

With Subedaar bringing together Radhikka Madan and Anil Kapoor for a deeply emotional narrative, the film promises to explore a nuanced father-daughter relationship on screen.
