EXCLUSIVE: Kumkum Bhagya fame Shivam Khajuria playing the lead in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai post leap? Here’s what we know

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starring Pranali Rathod and Harshad Chopda is one of the longest running shows on Indian television. The show is soon undergoing a leap and current cast will back out of the show. A few days back, it was reported that Anita Raaj has been approached for the show. Now, we have exclusively got to know details about the lead actor. As per our sources, Kumkum Bhagya fame Shivam Khajuria will play the lead post leap.

Shivam Khajuria to play lead in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

A source close to the development, informed us that Shivam will enter the show post leap. He has signed the dotted lines and is confirmed to be a part of show further. While details about female lead is under wraps, a few days back Mahima Makwana was spotted on the sets. However, she rubbished the rumours of entering the show.

About Yeh Rishta

The show first aired in 2009 and back then, it starred Hina Khan and Karan Mehra as leads. The actors rose to fame with their stint as Akshara and Naitik. It further took leap and Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan entered the show taking the story forward. Their chemistry as Kartik and Naira was loved by the audience. Now, Pranali Rathod and Harshad Arora and playing the leads. The show is again heading for a 20 years leap and current cast will bid adieu.
