Pamela Singh Bhutoria On Diwali Plans For This Year

When asked how she celebrates Diwali and what special plans she has for this year, Pamela Singh Bhutoria answered, “I have celebrated Diwali since childhood, and every year my plans are very simple. I always do a Ganesh Lakshmi puja at home. I cook. I make dahi vada. I will make either pav bhaji or paneer and puri or paneer or aloo dum. So I usually cook at home. I do my puja. I eat at home, either friends are over, family is over, or people who work with me, you know, my family, we eat a meal together. That’s the value for me.”

Pamela On Her Favourite Childhood Diwali Memory

Speaking of her favourite childhood Diwali memory, the actress answered, “My favourite childhood Diwali was when my father would really host like a big party. And not a party, it was like he would make this eating arrangement. And it was open to all. Anybody can come and have a meal that day. And there will be a whole arrangement for it. Days earlier, my dad and my parents would organise this whole thing, which was open to all. Anybody can come in and eat. So that’s how he celebrated Diwali. I would really like to do the same, so I do it, but in a very small way.”

Pamela On Diwali Parties In Mumbai

Talking about her first memory of celebrating Diwali in Mumbai, Pamela shared, “My first memory of celebrating Diwali in Bombay was, I think, 2009. I barely have any memory but it was a lonely Diwali. It was first time I was away from Calcutta and I think that year I didn’t have any puja or celebration at home and I didn’t even have a party to go to. It was a Diwali spent on my own.”

When asked about her views on celebrity Diwali parties happening in Mumbai and stars having to attend one party daily in new or unseen clothes, she responded, “It’s very hectic. Then you have to hop from one party to the other. So I really don’t know. I don’t hop to many parties on Diwali. But I would like to do it some year. And I’m sure it’s going to be great fun.”

She was recently seen on The Trial, Season 2, opposite Kajol.
