Aasif is associated with the Indian People’s Theater Association in Mumbai. He has acted in popular plays such as ‘Kabuliwala’, ‘Aakhri Shama’, ‘Hum Deewane Hum Parwane’ among several others. One of his most popular plays is  ‘U-Turn’ which also featured Poonam Dhillon.

Aasif was a proficient athlete and he aspired to pursue a career in cricket or any other sports. However, an injury directed him towards his real calling i.e acting.
