Today, on September 5, people are celebrating Teachers’ Day as they are pouring in wishes for their teachers. But have you ever realised that the teachers are not the only ones who teach us important lessons inside the four walls? There are friends and parents who teach us life. On that same note, Bollywood is also one of them.

Hindi cinema is not all about love, romance and action, it also teaches some significant life lessons that only inspire us to see life differently or in a positive way. Be it Jehangir Khan from Dear Zindagi or Munna from Munna Bhai MMBS, these Bollywood characters have taught us quite a few life lessons that will be etched forever in our minds.

Take a look at the life lessons that Bollywood has educated us on this teachers’ day here:

1. ‘Success Ke Peeche Mat Bhaago, Excellence Ka Peecha Karo, Success Jhak Maarke Tumhare Peeche Ayegi

Aamir Khan’s character Rancho from 3 Idiots taught us the success mantra of life. He tells us that one should run behind excellence and not success.

2. ‘Seize the day my friend… Pehle is din ko poori tarah jiyo, Phir chalis ke bare mein sochna

Katrina Kaif’s character Laila from Zindagi Milegi na Dobara taught us one should stop worrying about the future when one should focus on the present. Moreover, she also makes us realise that life is unpredictable as no one knows if they will survive till the age of 40 or 50. Hence, one should live every day to the fullest instead of perturbing about the future.

3, ‘Main apni favourite hoon

In the world of pleasing people, they are forgetting how to love themselves. One should need to promote self-love because if you don’t love yourself, no one will love you. And that’s when Kareena Kapoor Khan’s character from Jab We Met Geet comes in who taught us about self-love with this iconic dialogue.

4. ‘Jiyo! Khush Raho! Muskurao! Kya Pata Kal Ho Naa Ho

Life is too short to fret about certain things. Just like Laila, Shah Rukh Khan’s character Aman from Kal Ho Na Ho taught us to live in the present because you never know if you will even live the next day.

5. ‘Kahin pe pahunchne ke lie kahin se nikalna bahut zaruri hota hai. Sahi waqt pe kat lena chahiye, nahi toh gile shiqwe hone lagte hain

We often keep fussing about the things that only give us stress and tension. Be it the job or a relationship, we continue to live in a toxic environment. So before wasting time and regretting it, Ranbir Kapoor’s character Bunny taught us the art of moving on.
