Bollywood has seen some really fantastic movies this year while some smashed all the box office records, there are some tanked miserably. While some South Indian movies like RRR, and KGF 2 have been creating a stir at the box office, movies like Brahmastra, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Drishyam 2, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and others have also proved their worth and revived the industry by raising profits. Speaking of which, we have made a list of the top highest-grossing Bollywood films that set the cash registers on fire.

Yes, Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Sharma starrer Cirkus is still running in the theatres but sadly, the movie is not showing any significant growth at the box office. Hence, we are not including the movie in the highest-grossing Bollywood movies list.

Here are the TOP highest-grossing Bollywood movies:

1. Brahmastra – Rs 257 Crore

The fantasy drama starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor made the maximum noise at the box office. Brahmastra’s highest selling point was the fantastic VFX and then comes the story. Since the film is coming in the trilogy, fans are super excited about the remaining parts of Brahmastra. With that driving force, the film did extremely well at the box office, bringing Rs 257 Crore at the box office.

2. The Kashmir Files – Rs 252.9 Crore

One of the most talked about movies, The Kashmir Files surprised one and all with its box office numbers. The film started on a decent note but made an impact as the days passed. The footfalls of the film were quite exceptional and gave tough competition to Akshay Kumar starrer Samrat Prithviraj, Bachchhan Paandey and Radhe Shyam.

3. Drishyam 2 – Rs 230.28 Crore

Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Akshaye Khanna starrer Drishyam 2 too had a phenomenal run at the box office. The film that was released in November managed to bring in moolah at the box office despite other releases like An Action Hero, Salaam Venky, and Bhediya.

4. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 – Rs 185.92 Crore

Kartik Aaryan starrer was one of the mega-hits of 2022; hence, it comes in the highest-grossing Bollywood movies list. The movie is a sequel to the 2007 film starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. The movie was a surprise hit and fans really loved Kartik in the full commercial role.

5. Gangubai Kathiawadi – Rs 129.1 Crore

Apart from the brilliant acting of Alia Bhatt and the captivating storytelling of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiawadi is considered to be a cinematic masterpiece.

6. JugJugg Jeeyo – Rs 85.04 Crore

Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor starrer also managed to draw the audience to the theatres because of their entertainment quotient. Though it didn’t cross the 100-crore mark, the film managed to collect Rs 85.04 Crore at the box office.

7. Vikram Vedha – Rs 78.66 Crore

Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer is an official remake of the Tamil movie of the same name. The movie was not a box office hit but Vikram Vedha managed to rake in Rs 78.66 Crore as its lifetime business.

8. Ram Setu – Rs 71.27 Crore

Akshay Kumar starrer also had a sluggish run at the box office. The movie didn’t get positive responses from the fans as well as from critics. Nevertheless, the movie managed to bring over Rs 70 crores at the box office.

9. Samrat Prithviraj – Rs 68.05 Crore

Another movie of Akshay Kumar that didn’t create a stir at the box office was Samrat Prithviraj. The movie was expected to smash all the records; however, the movie still managed to bring some business by collecting Rs 68.05 Crore.

10. Bhediya – Rs 65.84 Crore

Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer Bhediya got all the positive reviews from the fans and critics, unfortunately, it didn’t reflect at the box office as the numbers were average.
