Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan

The two-hero film concept is slowly dying in Bollywood with actors bringing in their egos and insecurities on the sets, and constantly wanting more screen space, time and substance than the other actor. Remember the time when reports suggested that when Sanjay Leela Bhansali got Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh together for ‘Padmavati’, he had to go through a lot to convince them that they had equally good roles?

But, here are the two actors who are planning on bringing the scenario back. It was last year that Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Rustom’ and ‘Mohenjo Daro’ clashed at the box-office,giving rise to rumours of a tiff between the two. But they soon sorted it out and were spotted socialising together, and complimenting each other on their respective films on social media. And now one hears that the neighbours have been discussing the possibility of working together for a two-hero film. A source tells us, “They have found a great script which is perfect and they both have lead roles.”

In fact, Akshay had almost confirmed the same in a recent interview, “I am open to doing a two hero film. In fact, I have been approached for one and I am considering it .” When asked about any ego clashes and insecurities, the actor said, “Why should I care about all that? If there are more actors, I will have to do less work to do in the film, so it’s good for me in a way,” he added.

Hrithik, too, hinted the same. “I am open to the idea. I would love to do a film with another actor friend. In fact, I have had a word with some of my colleagues in the industry. We were discussing and planning to do a two-hero film. So let’s see what happens. It’s only about finding the right script that does justice to both actors.”

If this happens, it sure will be one big venture to look out for.
