Filmmaker Jeethu Joseph and megastar Mohanlal are back again with the sequel of their blockbuster hit Drishyam. Much to the superstar’s fans’ delight, the makers of Drishyam 2 unveiled its trailer today. And as expected, the trailer is high on suspense and it will simply blow you over.

Mohanlal took to his social media handles to share the trailer of Drishyam 2 with his fans and followers. And within no time #Drishyam2 started trending on the microblogging site.

The trailer of Drishyam’s sequel was supposed to be out on February 8, however, as a high-quality copy of the trailer leaked online, the makers decided to drop the official trailer today. Unveiling the trailer of Drishyam 2, Mohanlal tweeted, “Unlock a new chapter in the life of Georgekutty and his family.”  Written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, Drishyam 2 takes the story of its predecessor forward. Mohanlal once again essays the role of Georgekutty who will go to any lengths when it comes to the safety and well-being of his family.

In the trailer, we see Georgekutty’s family grappling with the after-effects of the events that took place in the first part. The past comes to haunt George and his family is worried. But he is determined to go to any lengths once again for his family. A new CI is about to reopen the case and George prepares his family to face any hardship that they might have to face again.

Will Georgekutty be able to protect his family this time? Well, that forms the crux of the sequel’s story. Drishyam 2 also features Meena, Siddique, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopy, Ansiba, Esther and Saikumar. If you have seen the first part you will definitely want to know what happens next. The film is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 19. So aren’t you guys excited to watch this nail-biting thriller?

Meanwhile, Mohanlal’s Drishyam was also remade in Hindi and it featured Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and Tabu in the lead role.
