Malayalam actor PC George passed away today (May 14) morning. He was suffering from kidney-related ailments. He was 74. As per reports, he was admitted to a private hospital in Thrissur where he breathed his last. He is survived by a wife, two daughters, and a son. He was a policeman by profession, he retired from the Kerala Police as Superintendent of Police. Later, he started his career in acting in the theatre and then in Malayalam films.

PC George made his debut with Amba Ambika Ambalika and appeared in more than 60 films that include Adharvam, Chanakyan, Innale, Peruvannapurathe Visheshangal, and Sangham among others. He was most famous for his villain characters. As per reports, his funeral will be held on Saturday at St. Joseph Church in Karukutty, near Kochi.

PC George is better known for his stellar performance in the Mammootty-starter Sangham in 1988 and after this movie, he never looked back in his career.

This year, many Malayalam celebs died either due to Covid-19 or other ailments. Popular Malayalam actor and scriptwriter P Balachandran died at the age of 69 on April 5. Mela Raghu died at a private hospital in Kochi on May 4, National Award-winning screenwriter Madampu Kunjukuttan died of Covid-19 on May 11, Unnikrishnan Namboothiri passed away in January this year.
