Samantha Ruth Prabhu gets the ‘sweetest’ birthday surprise by Vijay Deverakonda on VD 11 sets, Watch video

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu turned a year older on April 28. On her 35th birthday, Samantha was showered with love and wishes from her peers, friends and fans. Actor Vijay Deverakonda, who is currently shooting with her in Kashmir for their untitled project VD 11, surprised Sam on her birthday. He shared the video on social media. Today, Samantha also shared the same video and thanked Vijay and others for the birthday surprise.

In the video clip, we see Vijay and the film’s crew had created a ‘fake scene’ to shoot, in which Samantha had to deliver an emotional dialogue to the Liger actor. He replied to the dialogue by calling by her real name, Samantha, and later wished her ‘Happy Birthday’. Samantha didn’t knew about his midnight prank until he wished her. The Yashoda actress was also seen cutting her birthday cake with Vijay and crew members on the set of VD 11.

Sharing the video on her Instagram handle, Samantha wrote, “The sweetest surprise. It was freezing and we had a lot of work to do. But that didn’t stop these scamsters from pulling off this elaborate surprise. Thankyou.”

Vijay shared the video and wrote, “Happy Birthday @Samanthaprabhu2 (red heart emoji) Wishing you full happiness (blushing emoji) Let’s make a love story now 🙂 Love and hugs, Vijay.”

Vijay and Samantha had earlier worked together in 2018 film Mahanati. VD 11 is directed by Shiva Nirvana and it is the actress’ second movie with him after Majili, which also starred her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya.

Apart from VD 11, Vijay will be seen in Hindi-Telugu bilingual film, Liger. which also stars Ananya Panday. While Samantha will be seen in Shaakuntalam, web series Citadel with Raj and DK, co-starring Varun Dhawan. Her recent release was Vignesh Shivan’s Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal that also starred Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara.
