When the director was asked if he could include any Indian actor in the Guardians universe, the director said he would love to work with the ‘guy’ from RRR. Gunn also added that Jr NTR was ‘amazing’ and ‘cool’ in the film. “Who is the guy from RRR that’s so good… What’s his name? RRR, the big one from last year? With all the tigers coming out of the cage and everything? That guy (referring to Jr NTR)! I would love to work with that guy someday. So amazing, so cool,” James Gunn told News18.com.

The director was also asked if there’s any particular role for Taarak, James said, “I don’t know, I would have to figure that one out. That would take a little while.” This statement by James Gunn is a testament to the growing popularity of Indian cinema on a global scale and its impact on international audiences.

For the unversed, RRR’s song Naatu Naatu won the Best Original Song award at Golden Globes 2023. The movie also bagged an award at the Oscars 2023. Furthermore, it bagged an award in Hollywood Critics Association Award 2023, Critics Choice Movie, Los Angeles Film Critics Association and many more.

Meanwhile, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is all set to woo the audience. The film will be released in India on May 5. Guardians of the Galaxy marks the last outing for director James Gunn with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Nonetheless, he had a remarkable and memorable journey.
