Did Salman Khan suggest Varun Dhawan’s name for ‘Shuddhi’?

Bollywood’s gen-next actor Varun Dhawan has replaced superstar Salman Khan, this news shocked one and all. Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt has been signed for Shuddhi was confirmed by filmmaker Karan Johar when he tweeted.

Salman Khan fans were an angry lot and they blasted Karan on Twitter yesterday. But apparently Salman Khan had suggested Varun Dhawan’s name as his repalcement. Sources say, “Not many are aware that he suggested Varun’s name as a possible replacement for him in the film. He is confident that Varun can carry off the challenging part (of the male lead). And both the Karans were more than happy to sign Varun for the film.”

The Dabangg Khan took over and tweeted his blessings to the youngster.

It indeed must be a proud moment for Varun Dhawan. The actor who is currently promoting his upcoming venture ‘ABCD2’ has some meaty roles in his kitty. Besides playing one of the leads in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Dilwale’ featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Kriti Sanon, the actor will also be seen in the much-talked about ‘Shuddhi’.
