Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin has received a number of accolades for her performance, but the fiery beauty who does not think twice to bring to light the plight of women in society, won a celebrity fan in Melinda Gates. Kalki’s poem ‘The Printing Machine’ was much loved by the co-chair and operator of Bill & Melinda Gates foundation.

The poem ‘The Printing Machine’ that had been unveiled by Kalki, had sent out a strong message for the Indian media and its audience. It was soon trending on the social network. The reason behind it being appreciated by all was Kalki’s satirical rant against the culture of voyeuristic news consumption.

Feminist icon Melinda Gates sent the actress a personalised letter appreciating her poem. Kalki soon took to Instagram to share a picture of the letter, accompanied with the caption, “Came in the post this morning.” Kalki who had met Melinda during her visit to India last month, was over the moon on receiving the letter from Melinda Gates.
