Ranbir Kapoor says he is not engaged

Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor recently broke many a heart. It happened when news of his engagement to alleged girlfriend Katrina Kaif made headlines. Ranbir Kapoor who is known to guard his personal life fiercely, has for once cleared the aired by confessing that he is not engaged.

Ranbir Kapoor categorically denies getting engaged and said, “No, I am not engaged. Engagement is to tell the world that right now we are promised to get married. I have not reached that place in my life. I really wished that tabloids, magazines and news channels stop making conjectures about that as it spoils the spontaneity of it when it finally happens.”

He further added, “I am trying to guard my personal life and live a life that is apart from my movie life and out of public eye. If I have to get engaged, I can’t hide that. I want to have a family, have children. So, when I get engaged, I will certainly announce it.”

Ranbir Kapoor is awaiting the release of Vikramjit Singh’s ‘Roy’ and Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bombay Velvet’. He is currently busy shooting for Anurag Basu’s ‘Jagga Jasoos’, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Tamasha’ opposite Deepika Padukone.
