Shahid Kapoor

Actor Shahid Kapoor posted a viral picture of a mommy deer being eaten by two cheetahs on his Instagram page. The picture had a very emotional backstory of how the mommy deer surrendered in front of the two hungry cheetahs to protect her kids from being eaten. Well, the story did manage to bring tears to everyone’s eyes. Shahid too fell for it and shared the picture on his page. But, little did he know that the story on the picture was entirely fake and no such thing ever happened.

First let us show you the picture with Shahid’s emotional caption:

So, this award-winning picture has been clicked by Alison Buttigieg and she has given a sensible clarification to the picture, calling the entire story fake.

She took to her Facebook page and posted, “A highlight of my photography career has turned into a nightmare. My Stranglehold photo went viral in a huge way with a completely ridiculous fake story accompanying it, and implications I fell into depression after I took it (seriously who comes up with this crap?!?) – not to mention the gross copyright violations. Sensationalism at its best – complete fiction so that people get more likes on their page. The photo with the fake story has been shared hundreds of thousands of times on various social media. I am getting inundated by hundreds and hundreds of messages asking me whether I am the “depressed photographer”. I have been tagged in LinkedIn with the fake story – that’s going to do wonders for my career. What a vile world we live in, full of stupid gullible people spreading #fakenews like crazy.”

It’s really sad how some people create fake stories for the sake of publicity. Sasha, the next time you see such a post, be extra careful.
