Throwback to when Taapsee Pannu recalled being ‘jobless’ in her career

Birthday girl Taapsee Pannu is one of the most talented actors in the industry. She started her acting journey with the Telugu film Jhummandi Naadam. Later, she appeared in many Telugu, as well as Tamil films. In 2013, Taapsee made her Bollywood debut with Chashme Baddoor. Post that, she has appeared in Bollywood movies like Baby, Thappad, Haseen Dillruba, Loop Lapeta, and Saand Ki Aankh among others.

By taking up challenging projects in her career, Taapsee has proved that she is a terrific actor. Today, she has successfully carved a nice for herself in the industry. However, there was a time in her career when she jobless.

Taapsee talks about being jobless

In an earlier interview with Bollywood Bubble, Taapsee had revealed that she was jobless after she transitioned from South to Hindi films. During the segment of ‘Never Have I Ever’, Taapsee was asked if she was ever jobless in her career and she had replied saying, “Yes, I have been jobless.”

Taapsee added, “I’m sure har ek actor ke career mein yeh phase aata hai jobless ka (I’m sure this phase comes in every actor’s life). I have been jobless. And at that time, ‘It’s ok, abhi kitchen chal raha hai, abhi tension ki baat nahi hai’ (It’s ok, the kitchen is currently working and there is no tension for now’).”

The actress went on added, “This was the transition phase between my South to Hindi where I deliberately stopped doing work and wanted to transition in a new way.”

Taapsee has come a long way in her career. The actress has interesting projects in the pipeline. She has Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki in the kitty. The actress will be seen sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in the same. SRK and Taapsee starrer Dunki will release on 22^nd December, 2023.

Apart from that, Taapsee will also be seen in the Tamil film ‘Alien’. Earlier, Taapsee had revealed that she is not playing the role of an Alien in the upcoming project. The actress also has Haseen Dillruba 2.
