Ranbir Kapoor turned down these Super-hit movies

Recently, Ranbir Kapoor has also rejected Subhash Ghai's upcoming romantic film due to some date issues.

Dilwale is an upcoming film directed by Rohit Shetty starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan in the lead roles. The role of Varun Dhawan who is reportedly playing Shah Rukh Khan's brother was first offered to Ranbir Kapoor. But he turned down as he was busy for his upcoming film 'Jagga Jasoos'.

Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor and Chitrangada Singh were to star in the film. But both of them backed off and finally Imran Khan played the lead role.

Initially the cast consisted of Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. But Ranbir Kapoor rejected due to date issues. Later Farhan Akhtar approached Ranveer Singh to play the role of the brother opposite Kareena with Katrina as his love interest. Kareena had decided to turn down the offer as she was keen to work with cousin Ranbir.

Chetan Bhagat's '2 States' was initially offered to Ranbir Kapoor but due to some date issues he rejected the offer. The role was also offered to Saif Ali Khan, Imran Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, but they all turned down and finally Arjun Kapoor was cast as the lead opposite Alia Bhatt.
