Jiah Khan case hearing adjourned till July 21

Bollywood actress Jiah Khan had committed suicide and was found hanging from the ceiling in her apartment. Her boyfriend newbie actor Sooraj Pancholi was arrested on abetting her suicide. The police had found a six page letter written by Jiah on the basis of it the police had arrested Sooraj, but later released him on bail. Now the hearing in Jiah Khan’s suicide case has been adjourned till July 21 Jiah’s mother Rabiyah Khan had submitted an appeal that her daughter Jiah did not commit suicide but was murdered. She has asked the new government to probe the death.

As per sources , Sooraj and his father Aditya Pancholi were present in the court. The court was scheduled to frame charges against Sooraj Pancholi but advocate Shrikant Shivade informed the court that a plea made by Jiah’s mother Rabbiya Khan for an independent detailed investigation into the case was pending in the Bombay High Court and hence the matter be deferred. The sessions court asked the investigating officer in the case to submit a status report on the probe and developments so far and posted the matter to July 2014 third week. Sooraj has filed for exemption and the court is yet to decide on it.

Sooraj Pancholi is the son of actor Aditya Pancholi and actress Zarina Wahab. He is soon to make a debut in Salman Khan’s home Production film ‘Hero’, along with Athiya Shetty daughter of actor Suneil Shetty.
