Kajal Aggarwal recalls suffering from postpartum depression, says, ‘Gave my husband a tough time’

During an interactive session with her fans, Kajal Aggarwal opened up on going through postpartum depression after giving birth to son Neil. She also reflected on how it was getting back to work post giving birth.

Recently, Kajal had an interactive session with her fans on Instagram where she answered their questions. When a user asked her if she went through postpartum depression after Neil’s birth, she answered in the affirmative. Along with her experience, she also shared how she overcame it.

She wrote, “Yes, I did. Its normal and the person going through it need family support the most. Removing time for yourself helps a lot. Doing your favourite activity. A quick workout (under supervision). A quick catch up for coffee with your besties-its therapeutic. Thankfully, I got over it soon enough, courtesy my very understanding family. Gave my husband a tough time. When I was going through it though.”

Kajal on getting back to work after childbirth

As Kajal resumed work soon after giving birth, a user asked her how the pregnancy affected her physique and if it was challenging. She responded by writing, “Its more in ones mind than physically challenging. Life offers beautiful moments. Live in the moment and make the best out of it. Having a baby is a blessing that I am truly grateful for. Jumping back into work two months post-partum is a blessing as well. Getting back to your pre-baby body is just a matter of time.”

Kajal has been working on Shankar’s Indian 2 with Kamal Haasan. She will also be seen in Sashi Kiran Tikka’s Satyabhama. There had been rumours of her taking a break from acting, but she quashed them all. The actress is truly an example for many to follow.
