In his post, Mohanlal encouraged football lovers to relax and enjoy the match, saying, “Relax and enjoy the match,” while avoiding any predictions about the outcome. When asked if he had a favourite team, Mohanlal mentioned he did but chose not to reveal it, instead focusing on the celebration of the occasion. He noted that his native Kerala was leaning in favour of Argentina, adding a personal touch to his support. The final saw Spain beat Argentina 1-0, crowning them world champions. The event also featured performances by global stars such as Shakira, Madonna, BTS, and Justin Bieber during the halftime show.
