Prabhas As Old Man In The RajaSaab Has Been Reinserted In Theatres

Prabhas’ film The Raja Saab received mixed reactions from audiences. A notable segment of viewers expressed disappointment over the absence of a key scene. The film’s total runtime is 189 minutes. In response to fan feedback, the filmmakers have now restored the deleted scene in the final theatrical versions. The updated version of The Raja Saab has been playing in cinemas since Saturday evening. The production company announced this decision on social media, clarifying that the inclusion would not increase the film’s overall length. Director Maruthi also shared his thoughts on the matter.

The Raja Saab premiered on January 9 amid considerable backlash. However, the production team has opted to reintroduce a previously cut scene into the theatrical run. Screenings after 6 PM on Saturday now feature this scene. The film’s producer explained why the scene was initially omitted.

Prabhas’ The Raja Saab Director Maruthi Confirms Deleted Scene Will Be Added

Following the film’s release, director Maruthi confirmed that the scene would be added to screenings starting at 6 PM on January 10. During a press conference, he explained, “Prabhas fans are not unhappy with the film itself, but they feel something’s missing. In the trailer, we showcased him in an elderly disguise with a specific style, and the audience struggled to connect with the story because of that. To address this, I spent last evening refining the second half and incorporating the missing scene for today’s 6 PM shows. I believe the 8-9 minute addition will be spectacular. We’ve created a rooftop fight scene like no other, and Prabhas dedicated a tremendous amount of effort to it.”

Why Was The Scene Originally Removed?

Producer TG Vishwa Prasad clarified, “There’s a 4-minute segment showing Prabhas in his elderly look that was initially left out. About a week ago, due to an unfortunate incident and server issues, we had the footage, but it required some cleanup and minor adjustments. We’ve now completed those edits and sent the scene to theatres.”

The Deleted Scene In The Raja Saab

The scene in question features Prabhas dressed as an elderly man, likely inhabited by the spirit of his late grandfather, Kanakaraja (Sanjay Dutt). Fans eagerly anticipated this sequence, which was not included in the original theatrical release. Social media was flooded with fans expressing their dissatisfaction over its absence.
